oh how i miss the science section of the new york times…
The best 9 minutes you’ll ever spend. Seriously.
I know not what course others may take.
But as for me,
give me liberty or give me death.
Patrick Henry, March 23rd, 1775
Isn’t it strange how we all have different concepts of liberty, and even death?
I’ve had a lot of visitors in the past 4 weeks. In fact, I haven’t had a Saturday tout seul since the first week in February. Not that I’m complaining, it’s been wonderful to see Paris through the eyes of my friends and loved ones.
It’s interesting why people come to Paris. Some come for the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, others to see their daughter speak French. Some come for their own principal, to get out of their norm and absorb something different .
For those who come to see the sights of Paris — you’re in luck! There’s a plethora of sights to see. For those in the latter category, you’re also in luck. Paris is different than the U.S., and it makes you feel different just be being here. When you’re here, be sure to go off on your own. Figure out the metro system, sit and have a cup of coffee and people watch. Little things can change you.
New York seems so far away.
